The Evirum 100 at ICAR delivered a spectacular showdown that drew a record-breaking crowd to the Mirabel old airport. Fans flocked to the event, eager to witness the intense competition as 24 drivers took to the tarmac in a race filled with thrilling moments and standout performances.

Newfoundland Tourism Move of the Race: Simon Dion-Viens
Simon Dion-Viens showcased remarkable determination during the Evirum 100, earning him the Newfoundland Tourism Move of the Race. Starting from 17th on the grid, Dion-Viens expertly navigated the challenges of ICAR’s technical course, climbing his way to a solid 9th-place finish. His impressive charge through the field from P17 to P9 highlighted his skill and persistence, making him a standout driver of the day in front of his fans. 

Andrew Ranger: Winningest Driver at ICAR
Andrew Ranger solidified his status as a legend at ICAR, becoming the winningest driver at the circuit in NASCAR Canada history. Ranger’s victory in the Evirum 100 marked his fifth win at the Mirabel track, adding to his previous triumphs in 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2016. This latest victory underscores Ranger’s dominance and unparalleled expertise on ICAR’s tarmac, etching his name further into the annals of Canadian motorsport. Ranger also clinched his third win of the season at ICAR. 

Daniel Bois: A Story of Resilience
Daniel Bois’ journey at the Evirum 100 was one of determination and resilience. After a problem with the fuel line in practice, Bois and his team worked hard to repair his car in time for qualifying. Their hard work paid off as Bois managed to secure a 12th place in qualifying. In the race, Bois delivered his best performance of the season, battling his way to an 8th-place finish. This marked an improvement over his previous best finish of 9th at Ohsweken in July, showcasing the grit and resolve that defines his racing spirit.
